No, the DRLs work exactly as they should and you can turn them off with the stalk like normal. I have to every time because when I'm pulling out of my parking space I have to turn them off because otherwise they blind my wife (they're crazy bright).

I just pulled off the TRDOR valances, sanded them down with wet sand paper as much as I could stand, and went over them with a few coats of matte black automotive paint from O'Reilly's or Lowe's or something like that. I'm not a fan of plastidip.
