Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately this noise was present before and after replacing the lower control arms and ball joints. So I'm pretty certain that's not it. Any other ideas?

Just lightly with a nut driver. Enough to snug them and stop the dripping but not risk tearing the boot. You can always snug them more if they leak, so don't go nuts at first.

The west marine clamps are discontinued, but may be special ordered. I just did this. Unfortunately, the clamps they supplied are not correct. They're now substituting a clamp that is both too wide and also not smooth on the inside. You need a smooth clamp that's 9mm wide. The 25-40mm size...
