a/c compressor and engaged fan clutch definitely places more load on the engine, more noticeable at lower rpms. Also, different from accelerating from a stop, accelerating while rolling with the trans in a higher gear will feel sluggish. Will have to hit the gas to force a downshift.

I'm also in north Atlanta. Trying to decide on the LT headers. Any issue passing emissions with long tubes... with only 1 set of rear cats? I remember having to do a sniff test on some tests, but usually just connecting to the OBD port.

Cleaning the MAF and throttle body is crucial on fuel injection. Besides O2, air flow is the only other feedback controlling injectors and fuel mixture. I’ve always been experienced lower and smoother idle after a good cleaning on any vehicle.

Are you saying that you installed shorty headers, new cats, left factory y-pipe and downstream cats... and have heavier fumes?

Installed the bypass. Good piece of mind on a component that would eventually fail. Not sure why someone would be so worried about selling a used vehicle as-is. Simply remove the bypass if worried about selling or passing emissions on a cold start.

A kit can only get you so far. Regardless of brand, water sanding with fine grit sandpaper, high speed buffing, and finishing with UV coating is what's important.

Besides oil and slight blow by on the 2 rear plugs, combustion looks normal.

Thanks for the great write up. Recently replaced my factory unit with a Pioneer sub. Sounds better, but will be replacing the factory amp in the near future.
