Headlights not working on low, high beams working. HELP

Just hopped in my truck to go to dinner and the low beams wouldn't work. High beams worked, didn't test the fogs. Low beams definitely worked yesterday morning, not sure what might have caused them to suddenly not work. Anyone have any ideas? Has this happened to anyone else? Ill have to loook...

    Rear diff is shot, options?

Have had a terribly annoying noise coming from the rear end of my 08 sr5 (113k miles) for a couple of months and finally got around to taking it to the dealership for diagnosis today. I was hoping it was a wheel bearing going bad, but the tech checked it out and determined that the noise is...

Transmission Service: Drain & Fill or Machine Flush?

Oh I agree. Once I'm a toyota master tech and have a dealership's equipment in my garage I won't have to worry about it. Until then (read: never), I'll have to take the chance much like 97% of people.

Transmission Service: Drain & Fill or Machine Flush?

Just a word of warning to those looking to have the flush done. I called my local dealership asking about this service, told them the year make and model, and was quoted a price (179 I believe). I made sure to confirm multiple times that it was in fact a machine flush and not just a...

    Humming noise help- have searched

I did check the front tires and the one that is on the passenger side does seem like it's cupped on the inboard tread. This was rotated the last time I was in the shop, and I'm not sure which corner it came off of. I'll rotate it to the back this weekend and see of the noise changes. Bad tires...

    Humming noise help- have searched

Hey guys, was hoping I could get some help from the community in attempting to identify a new noise that has cropped up on me. 2008 SR5 V6 for reference. Just recently started noticing what I can only describe as a "humming" noise (it almost sounds like mud tires, but I'm just running street...

    dkyleb's Overland Build Thread

Thanks for the input. Frankly, I hadn't thought about going that route after I found out that OEMs were in the 600+ range. There are Detroit Axle sets on eBay for 150 bucks with 10 year warranty. That doesn't seem too bad. If I can find a decent mechanic that won't gouge me it shouldn't be...

    dkyleb's Overland Build Thread

love this thread. I'm quite envious of your skills, you've done a lot of great looking work. I'm going to have to get my LCA bushings, bolts, and cams replaced at some point and I'm not looking forward to it. Mostly because I know I don't have the skills to do it myself, and I will get...

How to install new CV Axles

So I'm trying to get parts together for this, and instead of winging it and hoping for the best with the seals, I want to get them in before. Can anyone give me the part numbers from Rockauto for the knuckle seal and the one that goes in the diff for the driver's side CV? I'm having trouble...

    5vzt4r 4th gen build

Looks great. Painted details and grey wheels are very tasteful. Did you have to do any major trimming to get the 285s to fit? Looks like you took the mud-flaps off, anything else?

What did you do with your 4runner today?

Just rolled this over on the odo this morning. Had to take a pic

    JFry's Build Thread

I'm going to do that this weekend. I've got new sway bar links and bushings coming in, so when I have the truck in the air I'll give that a shot. Thanks

    JFry's Build Thread

Did you get this only when the wheel was turned or is it random when backing? I'm getting the same thing and thought that it was only when turning, but it happened today backing up dead straight and I hit a small pothole. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

After Daystar lift, front end pop/creak

Popping seems to have gotten a little worse after some off roading and about 1200 miles on the road in a week. Still seems to happen only slow speed in reverse. Today I was backing straight up and hit a small pothole and it popped, and it can actually be felt in the steering wheel, and I'm 99%...
