XenonDepot HID vs LED, initial photo. (Pics reposted)

I made one 45 min minute drive with the new HID's.....the output is fantastic....I did get flashed three times by on coming cars.....I think that the light gets into cars because they are sitting at the 4runner headlight level.... ...I did see more moisture in both lights....I was pretty...

    Snow under the hood..!!!!

I may add some after market seal like that.....I'm getting a couple of new dust covers for the back of the headlights (drilled holes in the original for the HID grommet) and I'm going to install the original Halogens and see if the moisture goes away.....if not then Toyota said they would...

    Snow under the hood..!!!!

took a shot of the drivers side light, there is about twice as much moisture as shown after I drive for a bit...this is after sitting over night. I didn't see any gasket like the doors have but when I lift up the plastic that goes over the headlights.... where the front and back of the...

    Snow under the hood..!!!!

yes I do....but snow should not be building up in the engine compartment.....that's all I am saying. I was hoping that this would be an informative post and might spark some discussion....and there have been some very helpful posts but the amount of negative passive aggressive BS posts on here...

    Snow under the hood..!!!!

I thought about the wheel wells as the source but the snow was white...no dirt, no salt......anything coming from the wheel would be dirty.... both headlights have moisture in them too.....thought it was the LED's and tried the HID's but after an hour driving tonight there is even more...

Took out the LED's and evaporated the water in the headlights with a hairdryer and installed the Philips HID's.... They look great in the day light with the Yellow Fogs...

    Snow under the hood..!!!!

I'm not sure what you mean by "stuff like this"......this is a valid gripe of a design on a new vehicle. As the original post said this is information that my wife received....is it verbatim..I don't know....she is not tech savvy....so I'll give her an exception to front end vs hood....

    Snow under the hood..!!!!

While changing my LED's to HID's today I noticed that the rubber seal on the hood does not go all the way around the hood. I have a ford fusion and honda ridgeline and both of those have a rubber seal going the full length of the hood.... with the hood closed you can see the plastic cover that...

    Snow under the hood..!!!!

it was after an hour of driving and it was snowing pretty good. The middle area over the engine was clear...wet.....but both sides had the snow....all the way back to the firewall...not seen in the pics.

    Snow under the hood..!!!!

From the posts I take it that this is not much of a problem......when I spend half of what my house is worth on a vehicle I tend to be picky about flaws.....which this clearly is...... thanks for the feedback...
