the no spring compressor method works great and used it on my 5100 when i added 2.5” springs so i moved it back to zero lift. toyotas dont have a lot of preload on the spring. after i saw how easy it was did it no problem by myself.

sounds like the air recirculate flap trying to open or stay closed. mine makes a noise and ill open and close it and its stops.

Here is my 2005 with dobinson springs. Put c59-302 up front with bilstein 5100 set at 0. In the rear went with c59-505.
