    OG 5th Gen 10-13 models

I have a 15' 5th Gen (sorry I don't really belong here) and when I got rear ended I took the opportunity to backdate the backend of my 4Runner. I like he look of the early rear bumpers as they don't curve up around the tailgate. Looking at parts diagrams, I'd found a bumper that looks like the...

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Bumper Backdate Got her back from the bodyshop with an early model (10-13) rear bumper. Its similar to a Trail bumper without the garnish piece and had holes for parking sensors. Can't figure out what trim this bumper would have come from but found it by looking at parts diagrams online. The...

    Rear Automatic Lockers

I never understood the complaints about automatic lockers. I had a powertrax lunchbox locker in the back of an automatic XJ on 31s and a Detroit in the back of a manual TJ on 37s and it was by far my favorite upgrade on both. I always found them to be predictable and easily controllable with...

Replaced the clocking spring/spiral cable. Part was $46.13 on eBay, a modest 95% discount compared to the $918.76 the dealership wanted...

OME BP-51 Suspension System -- Anyone yet?

Sorry to keep prying, but why would ARB recommend against adjusting something that they made adjustable? I understand a spring compressor is required, and I don’t have a problem with that. The reason that I’m So interested in the BP-51s is that the best modification I did to my old Jeep was...

OME BP-51 Suspension System -- Anyone yet?

Thanks for the input, I'm a bit confused tho. I thought the upper spring seat collar on the threaded portion of the body was how you adjusted the preload. It seems to me that adjusting this preload affects the ride height. This thread on TacomaWorld shows the fronts at 20mm of preload and then...

OME BP-51 Suspension System -- Anyone yet?

Some questions Previously on Toytec's website, the BP-51 front coilovers were listed individually, separate from the whole kit, and in the description it said that they were adjustable from 1-3" of lift. The reason I was interested in this part of the description is because I would like to...

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

It drives good so far. I came from 285/70R17 KO2, which I loved. I had to do some fender liner trimming and the body mount chop to get it to fit without rubbing. I'm going to have to do a bit more fender liner modification to get these to not rub, but it should be reasonable to do.

Naah, I like it low. Will just make room for them to fit, its cheaper than a lift too

Magnetic Grey Trail Hood SOLD I have a 2015 Magnetic Grey Trail and would like to swap for a Magnetic Grey hood without a scoop. Hood is in good condition with no dents, but does have a couple small rock chips towards the front. I would like to get $300 out of the trade. I have never been...

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Hahahaha Thanks! I've always had a generous right foot even with my old 02 Wrangler on 37's with a detroit locker, that at one point had no rear swaybar or rear shocks, as well as a 74 CJ5 304ci V8 on 35s with a 10 inch steering wheel, no power steering and drums all around with one of the...
