I’m running 890s and tried it with the cones first. Same thing as you, I wanted a little less lift so took them out and noticed a much better ride at the bottom of the travel. More progressive stop when bottoming out

I couldn’t agree more. OEM will be the best ride for what you are using your rig for. Unless you spend big money for King, Icon, or fox the ride is very harsh with most aftermarket shocks. I’ve tried a few different setups including 5100s for tundra and 4Runner and both were the worst performing...

LCA and LBJs are 2 different things. Nobody has LCA failures. Statistically speaking, very few people have LBJ failures. I was simply stating that this guy is making a pretty good looking product for a decent price, no need to redesign the whole control arm.

The lower portion is plastic and really easy to trim with a Dremel, die grinder, or even a serrated knife.

Wait, the plot thickens. When I searched 2890 on their site both springs come up but they list the 890 for the Prado and 2890 for the 4Runner. Pictures are different but maybe it’s the same spring which gives a different lift depending on the vehicle.

I just checked the Bilsteinlifts.com website and I only see the 890 offered for 3” lift. Maybe I had it filtered too much. I did notice that they list the other sprinting’s with a 2 in front but list the 890 without it. I’ve got the 2890 springs that I got about a year ago and they’re a 3” lift...

They’re Bushwacker. Pretty easy installation. I ordered them off eBay.
