With ECO off, my air conditioning ran colder. True story.

    Tip on in-cabin air filter

Also, what's worth noting is that he was shown the dirty air filter. So there's a question of whether that was actually his air filter or not. If it was not his filter but simply a "demonstration" of how dirty his filter could be, then our friend could understandably feel misled. If it really...

    Where to install sound deadening...

Just to be clear I understand this, sound deadening material such as Dynamat is designed to improve acoustics for car audio and not so much reduce road noise, right? Because it sounds like mtbnole wants to reduce road noise, and if that's the case, then better tires might be the way to go.

    2011 4Runner Owner's Manual pdf needed

On Toyota.com, if you look up your owner's manuals by VIN, it will return nothing. However, if you look up by year and model (e.g. 2011 4Runner), it will give you the proper manuals.

Chip on Hood: Fix it, or "fix" it?

You guys are right. Touching it up and protecting with a deflector would be the sensible course of action. :hatsoff: That's why I've decided to have it puttied and painted professionally, then covered with paint protection film. And then I'll install a deflector. What is this called...

Chip on Hood: Fix it, or "fix" it?

There's a slight dent where the bigger chip is. I'm assuming that was the initial impact point. The photos don't show the depression, but it's definitely visible in the reflection when viewed at an angle.

Chip on Hood: Fix it, or "fix" it?

Discovered a small chip on the front of my hood the other evening. It looks like the rock that hit the hood made a slight dent while chipping off the paint. Do I spend $200 to have someone fix it? :whipping2: Pros: Dent fixed. Professional paint job. Cons: So much money for such a small chip...

Love my WeatherTech DigiFit floor mats. They do fit well and I haven't found them to be slippery.

iPhone 4S Mount for 5th Gen

Any experience with mounting an iPhone in your 5th Gen? I'm looking for a sturdy and inconspicuous mount for my upcoming iPhone 4S. At the moment, I'm considering the ProClip mount over the center vent or the RAM mount on the dash somewhere. And to elaborate on my needs: Visible to Driver...

    Question about duplicate keys

Yep, tried making a duplicate valet key from an original valet key. Was going to give the duplicate valet key to the parents. Hmm... According to this post, the chip in the valet key is designed to not to copy.

    Question about duplicate keys

Ace Hardware and Chipped Keys I was told that Ace Hardware could copy and program chipped keys, but when I tried to duplicate my 2011 4Runner's valet key about a month ago, the machine at two different Ace Hardware stores could not program the duplicate. Has anybody else encountered this...
