There's a slight dent where the bigger chip is. I'm assuming that was the initial impact point. The photos don't show the depression, but it's definitely visible in the reflection when viewed at an angle.

Yep, tried making a duplicate valet key from an original valet key. Was going to give the duplicate valet key to the parents. Hmm... According to this post, the chip in the valet key is designed to not to copy.

Ace Hardware and Chipped Keys I was told that Ace Hardware could copy and program chipped keys, but when I tried to duplicate my 2011 4Runner's valet key about a month ago, the machine at two different Ace Hardware stores could not program the duplicate. Has anybody else encountered this...
