If you do get a complete rear axle out of a FJ or 4runner for the e-locker, Would you look at getting the 8.2" one from a 2010+ FJ or 4runner?
And the input bearings are known for going out on the early FJs, like the 2007-2008. And I have read that there was some bad ring gears that didn't...
For weld-ons the 60" sliders for the 1st-3rd gen 4runners should be the same length as a 4th gen. A few of the other manufacturers have the sliders list for 1st-4th gen.
The FJ transfer case has a manual lever vs the electric selector that the 4runner and Tacoma transfer case. IIRC on Crozhawks build that he put a FJ transfer case and converted it to a "twin stick".
