Just recently got a 94 4runner, and, being up in the mountains at elevation, I snagged an extra set of wheels for snow tires. I've got the 3vze V6 with the stock OEM 15x7 wheels, these new ones are the 16x7.5 wheels off of a 2008 FJ Cruiser. I've put on a wheel to check fitment and they fit...

Seems to come in and out for me. Sometimes it's ok, sometimes it takes forever. Guess it's dependent on load?

I looked into LED headlights, but I've pulled out of parking lots here with ice frozen to the front. I figure a blizzard is the most critical time you'd want to have working lights. Even if it froze over once it would be bad enough to not want to have that happen again. Didn't even think...

Before I bought mine the owner told me the only drawback is that it's underpowered. I thought how bad could it be? Taking it up the mountain passes on the way home was downright embarassing! But, yeah, I can't imagine you can do much to improve it without spending ridiculous money on such...

Did you need spacers or anything? I've got a 2nd gen and some 16x7.5 FJ Cruiser wheels. Trying to find out if I need them before I get the tires installed. I don't imagine I'd have any issues with a 16" vs your 17" wheels (assuming tire diameter remains same)

I've got a set of 2008 16" FJ Cruiser wheels I'm about to put on. They bolt on just fine but I haven't got tires on to really see if they're compatible. Hopefully I'll find out soon!

Hey BoatRacer, old thread but just in case you see it, can you clarify how it spacers helped with stability? I have a 94 that I'm putting FJ wheels on, trying to see if I can use them without the spacers, but I'm curious about your comment about stability..

Installed this cheapy chinese radio. All I want is bluetooth and no annoying bright distracting LED's. Bonus: It's got a cell phone holder!

Just got myself a nice stock 1994. Unfortunately, I acquired it out of necessity, but this truck has been growing on me! I'm excited to see what it can do!
