Today I fought through my usual "normal start" procedures, rough running for about 15-25 seconds then smooth as normal.

I have a set of these on my 85 and love the light output. I still haven't fixed the highbeam switch in the column (I mean to fix it to a switched positive like you posted above), but I don't feel the need for my highbeams as much as I used to since the lowbeams throw so much light!

I ended up adding a starter relay based on a post you made a while back - just wanted to say thanks for sharing your ideas!
