Yep from Japan. I bought it at an auction. I used to have a dealership importing JDMs into Canada, and I still bring the odd one in for personal use.

who travelled that farthest to buy their 3rd gen?

While I didn't technically drive there.. I bought mine in Tokyo in mid December. It's currently at the shipyard due to load into a boat and ship to BC next week. 2001 Hilux Surf SSR-X with 90,000kms on the clock.

Anyone Else Drive In Fear?

A lot of talk about using OEM for this. What are people's opinions on Sankei 555 brand? I know they are well respected in other import communities..
