Damn that sucks. I had that happen to me a few times. ONE has NOTHING to do with the other unless there is a common connection. If your work was done with the battery still connected, you could have popped a fuse. Check every single fuse if you do not know which one.
I had my trunk window...
the button which says "TEXT" means RDS.
RDS is the feature that allows the radio to display the song you're listening to from the RADIO TUNER. While tuned to 97.1 (any frequency) and the song tittle is displayed then YES. Push the TEXT button to double check if nothing is displayed and...
according to TomTom Eclipse AVN2210p GPS Review
the HU does not have a remote control output which is generally needed to connect the steering wheel control adapter to use those functions.
The device looks a little weird, but the great feature on which to buy is the fact that the tom tom GPS...
NON JBL 4Runner's means that there is nothing to bypass. Which would allow an easy connection to the wire-harness adapter (sold separately)
For JBL 4Runner's there is a special harness needed to be connected to an aftermarket radio (sold separately)
GO TO Crutchfield: Car Stereo, Speakers...
I honestly do not know. But if I had to assume based on the fact on every single vehicle I worked on, when the door panel comes off the drivers side with the controls for the (door lock button, windows, ect.) no windows will roll up or down, and the door lock button doesn't work no matter what...
That "Boss 758DBI" looks like crap! Sorry my personal opinion may been a little harsh.
Buy a HU that is I-POD ready, with port on back. Route the cable threw the middle console into the arm rest. This way if you wish to get to the I-POD wile driving, its within reach. If you locate it to...
Yes, fiberglass would be a smoother install and cleaner bass response due to the lack of corners. However I hate to fiberglass and I'm not good at it.
Putting the box in the side panel would not be efficient. Cleaner look but as for bass response there is not enough air flow for a 10" sub. So...
I saw that but in the picture I saw a grill in the trunk and figured his 3 way was in the back and the 2 way in the front. Which didnt make allot of sense.
Yes i thought of that, however by slanting the back it will be maybe give little more volume or no change. the slant is not a hudge distance due to the height keeping under the trunk cover. even so its not enough to make difference.
I like the Kk audio look, but for that price its more...
I am Sorry to all you Alpine Type R fans- THEY SUCK! They HAVE to be ported and if you hit it with just a little more then rated they go POP! I have 3 of these in my car at one point and sold them for FREE cuz they sucked. Bought 1 kicker L7 12" and it hit so much harder I upgraded to 2 15's
I love This install but a few questions come in mind as $ savers:
The custom spot for the tweeters look amazing, but the door already has a tweet spot why not just build a bracket in their at 3/4 the cost to build that spot?
I LOVE the spot for the sub and their work, but how much air flow...
Do things right the first time around! If you want to ever upgrade your system then go for it now so you have a better budget later to upgrade. HOWEVER I am nuts and used the Sound damper ALL Over my 01' Avalon from floors- roof- doors to trunk. Even on my gas tank cover (inside)
Outside...
To save yourself some trouble run Speaker Wire from HU to Rear Speakers.
Im not sure about your Year but If their is an amp in your SUV normally the front speakers would be connected as well as the rear.
NO sense in having an amp to power 2 of 4 speakers right?
The Details
