Thanks for the info, that seems like an easy enough fix to not sweat it. I love my trail wheels, and they'd look great powdercoated but some of the aftermarket ones look great with that aggressive stance. Can't bring myself to do spacers with how I drive it (like it was meant to be driven!)...

Any rubbing with the new offset? Looks like its a -10mm offset? Thinking of doing the same, I'm also on 285's and at 2.5" lift. I've read that more negative offset (wider stance) is a higher likelihood or rubbing over stock wheels.

Its really ridiculous that they can roll a world class off road vehicle off the assembly line looking like that. How hard would it be for them to make the TRD/Trail models with less rake and some tires that will actually get you down a dirt road? Still not even sure if the stock suspension was...

2016 TEP 2.5" lift My stock TEP had an awful rake (1st pic) and was super low clearance. Got 285 duratracs first. Next got Bilstein 5100's for front, set at 2.5. Resulted in slight reverse rake after front only lift. Still no rear lift few thousand miles later, but got airlift 1000 airbags...

Reviving an old thread, I know. So is the airbag supposed to bear on the bump stop? Or is there supposed to be a gap between the inflated airbag and bottom of the bump stop to allow some articulation before they touch? My TE was higher than average in the rear so I may only cut off one or 2...

Awesome, thanks I'll call and talk with Mike. I like that they have the KDSS specific ones to combat the lean (although I thought all 4runners had lean, but it was just to different side with KDSS). Do you have experience with these coils?

Lift when unloaded? Would it raise the rear 1/2"-1" when unloaded? And if so would it make ride super harsh? I put Bilsteins all around and set fronts at 2.5" on my TEP (rear fender was 2 3/4" higher from ground before), and now I have a very slight rear rake. Its unnoticeable as rear...

FN wheels are all 0 offset which I believe is as wide as most people can agree *shouldn't* rub on body mount. From what little I've read on here I'm fairly certain -10 or more would rub at the body mount with 285s. Maybe even -6 but if you want to try it I forgot to mention the Fuel trophy...

I thought the 2884 was the new model for the newer heavier 4runners. Higher spring rate and maybe a little longer too. But I'm a noob compared to most guys on here.

Was just in the store today and saw some rims that had a -6 offset which may be a happy medium and will *hopefully* not rub with 285s. They're Pro Comp vertigo series 40. Come in grey with black lip (fake beadlockers) and black/machined. Not a fan of fake beadlockers but the black lip helps...
