On my 2000 Ltd, it has what the factory manual calls the "lever/button type" front drive control for the transfer case shifter. It has the 4WD button on the side of the knob. The diagram for the shift pattern on the shift knob is as follows: H2-H4: normal operation is in H2 (normal 2WD)...

It has the Center Diff Lock, no rear diff lock. The push button is for 4WD shift-on-the-fly, unlocked. To actuate the CDL, when you manually shift into 4-Hi or 4-Lo, it also engages the Center Diff Lock. Thanks.
