I had a 750 Paso just like that in Kansas City. I bought it from Jim Koenig at Letko Cycles...rode the crap out of it. I had 2 ST2's and A Cagiva Gran Canyon. ( I worked at Letko too.) Now I have a '05 650 Vstrom.
I put the Denso Iridiums in my '08 at 100K miles. It was the first plug change as it had two different types of plugs as well. It defiantly runs better, but as someone else posted it was probably due for a tune up. Getting just under 22mpg.
Changed my diffs and Tcase this weekend. Used Royal Purple Max Gear 75/90. I had a quart left over from when I did my Tacoma, so I used it in the 4R too. I was able to get 15% off by ordering online at Advanced Auto and picking it up in the store. My grandfathers GoldenRod quart oil pump...
Well another piece of the puzzle has fallen into place. After I got my key cut, I remembered that I had gotten another key fob from the salesman. It was not a Toyota fob. Apparently the previous owners had an aftermarket remote start installed. I assume that in order to get it to work, they...
Well I got my transponder key cut at the dealership today, and suprise I dont need to program it! It started the 4R right after I came out of the dealership. Weird. I do know that the base SR5 did not have the engine immobilizer and whatever I am missing on the ignition I just wont worry about.

I have an '08 V6 too. I was at the dealership today and they recommended the transmission flush service at 100K. They quoted me $219.00, but have a $40 coupon online, so $180.00.
OK I went to the dealership today and after some searching I found out that I am missing this part: 89783-60111 - OEM Toyota AMPLIFIER, TRANSPOND. Now I need to figure out why I can start it with the transponder key that I have. I bought an extra key from Amazon, and if I can't program it I...
Well I am tying to figure out what I am missing in my ignition switch. 2008 SR5. Here is a picture of what a normal switch looks like. Sorry this was the best ignition switch picture I could find.
Here is mine
I am missing the black ring around the metal part of the key switch that says...
