How is the 4runner handling the Patriot Camper X1? Any issues with towing offroad that much weight? Any overheating issues?

I feel the same way. Love my FR rack, its beefy and easy to accessorize. My only gripe is the slats are just a bit too wide for my yakima skybox. It fits but won't 100% clamp around those slats. Good news is i'm sure FR will make some simple accessory for this if they don't have one already.

Offroad premium with kdss here and a 3" lift. My suggestion is test drive one with, and one without, on road first if you can. The on road difference was obvious to me and most passengers who ride in my truck who own 4runners themselves immediately notice the difference as well. Lifting...
