tx for the info... and as a thought... you're right.. not sure I did used to drive either of my 4x4 trucks in 4x4 at 70mph...Now AWD drive stuff. yep sure do when road conditions permit.

think in-town driver, plus towing. i didn't bug him much about it. I went and test drove again. Honestly, dropping my speed is gonna be a good idea for any of my current front-runners for new car choice. F150, Atlas, 4Runner.... i'd put a lot of mpg back on all of them by driving 70 or less.

talked to a friend at work with an older '08 with the 8 cyl. 12-14 mpg for the life of it so far.... so at least we're not down into that scale.

To be fair... Pilot's got awd, not 4wd... and yes... I drive 70-80 most of the time on 65-70 mph roads. That's when roads are dry or only light snowing happening. If we get dumped on... you back down... if you can get around problem drivers...fine... if not... it's not worth risking passing...
