Any idea to what it could mess up? I have a 2011 4Runner Limited AWD

HAS ANYONE HAD ANY TROUBLE WITH MOUNTING 275/55/20 ON THE 7IN STOCK WHEELS? I tried to have Discount tire put Nitto's on and they would not do it. Said all 275/55/20 wheels are made for 7.5-9.0 inch wheels. Stock 20 inch wheels are 7 inches. Please help me clarify.
