im assuming you had to pull out all the wiring to get back to the harness and adjust the gain. maybe you just have a loose connection and you only regained sound because you moved the wiring around. might be worth checking

i did the same thing a while back but i added an outlet. i just havent had a chance to mount it yet.

buy one of these from autozone i have two of these hooked up in my car. the first one is for my garmin and its hooked into CIG(15A) fuse which turns off when i turn the car off and the second is for a full time 12v socket which is hooked into the secu/horn(10A) fuse which is on whether the car...

did you try pulling apart the center console and checking the wiring. there is a plug that snaps into that outlet, it would be kinda hard but maybe it came out or maybe some is bad in the wiring.

kmv i have not had a chance to try your suggestion yet but i wanted to post some more info. first off net4n6 to answer your question i was using the add a circuit in the 10A-Secu/Horn fuse. here is a diagram of the way i currently have it wired minus the working light on the switch.
