    90K service

Yes, it's completed. Nothing eventful along the way. I left the radiator in and used the starter motor to undo the crank nut. I was replacing the spark plugs too, so all the plugs were removed when I spun the motor. Worked perfect, no drama at all. I used the Aisin kit so it came with new belt...

    2UZ-FE R&R T-Belt & Water Pump

I just did the 90K service myself on my '04 Sport. I ended up buying the Aisin service kit which includes the water pump, belt, tensioner and pulley, metal silicone gasket and idler pulley. Aisin is the OEM supplier to Toyota, so I got the same parts you would get at the Toyota dealer for less...

Need Toyota service recommendation in NorCal East Bay

I bought my 4Runner Sport new at Toyota Walnut Creek. My experience has been they do a good job but are expensive. They quoted me close to $2,000 for the 90K service. I did it myself for about $300 using Aisin OEM parts.

    90K service

Looks like no one does their own water pump / timing belt replacements here. But to answer my original question, my research concluded that Rock Auto had the best prices for the parts. $195 for the water pump, metal gasket, toothed belt, tensioner and bearing, and idler pulley. Then Denso...

I plan to change the timing belt and all bearings, filters, plugs, water pump and front pads/rotors, change coolant, change PS fluid, and flush the...

    Longgevity of the 4.7 V8?

I have a 2004 Sport V8 I bought new. Best car I have ever owned. I now have 180,000 miles on it and it still drives like new. I can't even feel the idle. Total issues so far, (1) a $3 O ring on the transfer case range selector started leaking. $600 in labor to change. (2) An A/C relay failed...
