    Trd pro lift question

Running what was in that last picture of mine: Stock TRD shocks, Toytec 1/2” top spacer, Bilstein 14” 600 lbs springs in front, Toytec 2” springs in rear. No additional weight in back, and front is heavier by 89 lbs (Warn bumper, no winch). 285/70/17 C-load Ridge Grapplers

    Trd pro lift question

Hey, I missed this post of yours from a month ago — looks like you already pulled the trigger and about to install. Hope it goes well! I’m happy with my set up. After all the iterations of springs and spacers, I think it’s finally dialed in. It’s a little stiffer than stock, but I’m fine with...

Anybody got details on how to adjust front headlights after a lift?

You want the top of the cutoff to be 2 to 4 inches below that blue tape line @ 25 feet away from the wall. If you match the height you’ll be blinding everyone. At 2 inches below and lifted 3”, my headlights were still shining into people’s mirrors, so I went to 4” below and that was just about...

    LED headlight question

DRL is your Daytime Running Light. In stock form, it’s the lights that are on during the day (and you don’t have “DRL off” nor your parking brake engaged when you first start up). If you look while they’re on, it’s actually the high beams that are on but operating much dimmer. This is because...

    LED headlight question

Needed? In the US they aren’t mandatory to run. I’m not sure what you’re asking, but I have both high and low beam LED. Both have “drivers” but the high beam I linked earlier from xenon depot works specifically to our high beam lights to allow running at a lower Lumen output while in DRL mode...

    LED headlight question

Agree with previous posters that the flickering issue is just with high beam LEDs when DRLs are on. However, I had success with Xenon Depot’s new driver. No flickering with DRLs on and they aren’t at full brightness like some others do. It’s the correct brightness during the day and very...

    Pennzoil Platinum 0W-20

Here's a pretty interesting independent test of most of the popular synthetic oil brands. He does a bracket style competition and Mobil 1 didn't fare that well (lost in the first round while Pennzoil and Amsoil made it to the finals). YouTube edit: just saw MikeYQM above me mention the same...

    Anyone Running Dobinsons UCA? Opinions?

It's a weird camera angle -- here's a more straight on shot of the rear tire. It's fairly even in the wheel well. Lift is probably a little over 3" front and 2" rear. My centerline measurements are 23" F and 24.25" R.

ANNOUNCEMENT: SPC Increasing Prices Sept 1st!

I’d avoid getting SPC’s UCAs right now. They’re dealing with a bad batch of bushings. Their customer support was very responsive and helpful, but having to pay for installation, uninstalling them, then re-installing a different brand because the warranty timeframe is 5 weeks is really not fun...

Significantly improved. No more harshness over big bumps. Thank you for the suggestion! :high5:

    Anyone Running Dobinsons UCA? Opinions?

Just installed Dobinsons UCAs. Got alignment done today and after lots of wrenching the guy could only get +3º caster. When turned closer to +3.5º it pushed the camber out of spec (0.7 to 1.0 degrees) so I had to settle for only +3. My setup is: Bilstein 14" springs, Toytec 1/2" top plate...
