    Winch options for 5th Gen

Love my smitty20x. Decided to replace the synthetic rope with an Amazon option which was cheap enough to get a second line as a spare... I keep it in the back of the truck. The wireless remote is great. The winch has one weak point, the wireless switch on the winch itself. It can be replaced...

    totalled!!!

Actually some drunk B put her car in reverse at a red light and hit my truck. Her insurance policy paid me for my winch, sso bumper, fair lead and a few other items that would honesrly see more trail damage. So if you're at fault, insurance will pay for just what you have insured... a stock...

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Yeah, no dout that they functioned better than oem, just didn't last as long. Also i was running 285/70/17s at tge time. Now that i moved up to 295s and have full fron anand rear bumpers, powerstop ist the way to go. I doubt i'd get 5-6 months out of akebonos now

Ugh.... well keep an eye on them. Hopefully you have better luck than I did. My powerstop big wheel/ towing pads & rotors have perfomed much better and lasted much longer.

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

Are you using stock rotors? I did all 4 corners w/ akebono pads and stock rotors.... they wore down to the screamers with in 9 months. Mostly highway driving. Pretty sure i read some where that akebono's don't play nice w/ the stock rotors when I was trying to figure out what happened.

This spam is why I'm barely active here. 5-7 years ago, you'd get called out quick for spam, asking stupid/lazy questions and well run'n nfab steps rather than sliders. Cobratuner182thanks for righting the ship!

SSO slimline hybrid w/ stage 2 wings. Local pick up in NJ Needs a light sanding and a coat or two of steelit and its ready for install. Comes with the winch hole filler plate if you don't run a winch right away. Has a 30 inch light bar cut out. Will take $25 off if we trade engine dust covers...

    Spare Tire Wheel Fit?

Yeah , ran a ko2 285/70/17 on the spare rim for a few years. You get som play with where the wheel sits when the chain has some slack. If you're in the nj area, you can try my spare on for size. Its been sitting in my garage since i switched to a bumper swing mounted spare.

    Air intake duct relocation

If you're concerned with an a/f tune, any change to the intake including a cai, snorkel and any relocation would requrie one per you concerns. To this day, I still don't know anyone with or has even persued an a/f tune... they just simply enjoy the increased performance.

    Air intake duct relocation

Snorkels for water only is a misconception. Additionaly they are great for dust and keeping you air filter cleaner, esp with a precleaner. Without the precleaner installed, my snorkel breaths better than stock. With the precleaner, its only mildly restricted.
