ok , thanks I guess I have no other choice but to drive the truck and see how it behaves. I will try to clean it again with the pressure washer this weekend and try to keep an eye on it. Hopefully like many have stated is just the valve Gaskets that cause that leak. I will let the truck sit...

Guys, I'm back. Changed the valve gaskets both sides, changed the valve cover that was cracked and also resealed the half moons and replaced the cam plugs, pcv valve and spark plugs. The truck was given back to me yesterday but i still see a little drip over the bell housing, granted this...

Well, I took the truck to the shop to be fixed and it was in really bad shape. The only thing i can tell you is to check that your roof rack is not leaking anywhere. The harm is done and I am paying top dollars to fix this mess. I am starting to regret purchasing the truck! P.S not putting any...

I just look at it myself and you can’t see in the picture but it starts right where the circle is also I think Is leaking from the back where cam housing plug is

Its actually cracked under the bolt. Really hard to take a pic from other angles. but if you see below the bolt is has oil all over it. Well according to the mechanic that is where the leak is coming from!

Well guys, my father took the truck to my mechanic today. He says that I have to wash the truck below to have a clearer picture but he doesn't think is the transmission. He checked the fluid and the fluid its fine. After he looked at it a bit more it seems the valve cover is broken after it was...

Like mentioned before the valve gaskets were replaced at 126k doubt they broke again but you never know. I was reading in another forum that it could be the shaft seal and the torque converter seal but if that is the case that is going to be expensive.

My mechanic recently changed the atf fluid but just a drain and fill 4 quarts of synthetic atf valvoline max life. Don’t know if that has anything to do with it. The oil is certainly reddish in color and smells funky. I’m am wishing that is the steering fluid and not the transmission.

Thank you for your input. According to the car fax the valve covers were changed at 126k (the truck has now 166k). Don’t know if is the transmission fluid but the transmission is working fine and not slipping. The oil just happens to be covering the upper and bottom part of the transmission...
