Is there a guide to the different armor needed when prerunning vs. rock crawling? Or is it basically the same? I’d rather go lightweight protection than ultra beef since I don’t plan on slamming on big rocks or anything.
Lift/Suspension for speed instead of crawling
I want to take my 4L 06 2WD out to the desert and hit some high speed trail. At first I was thinking of going with simple Bilstein shocks but now I'm considering going with a mid-travel kit that has front coilovers (remote reservoir), UCAs, rear...
I just got a 2006 V6 RWD Sport and want to do some sort of travel kit for going fast in the dessert. Would suggest anything from this system? It's my DD. I've also seen info about mid-travel kits being an option?
I just got a 2006 RWD V6. I'd like to go off in the desert or beach. Is there a specific type of lift kit I should be looking for, or is nearly every suspension system the same?
Have you been doing much off-roading with your 2wd. I just got one and I'm trying to figure out how to do it without breaking the bank. Is there a specific lift you did or other modifications? And what about speed vs slow? Does that change the kit at all?
Off-road/pre-running
Would there Bilstein 5100s be enough in themselves to get me off roading and able to hit the desert with some speed? Or to go at speed would I want to add OME springs as well?
