i've taken the stock bridgestones out to death valley and big bear where the conditions are similar to red rock canyon. the stockers have taken a beating since i've gotten the truck and are still fine for my commute (amazingly). they've got about 23k on them and will probably have 7-8k miles...

i got the demello hybrid sliders the day before we left for the big bear trip. these weld-on sliders are a combination of square and round tubes. they definitely made a difference, not just in protecting the rocker panels, but giving me the peace of mind that i've got some armor underneath...

i bought stripped bolt remover sockets from home depot when i stripped some of the bolts while removing my skids. you can find them at sears too. they did the job as long as the head wasn't too rounded off. spray some liquid wrench in there and let it sit for a while, then go at it with the sockets.

i like the mickeys and want to get the classic II's whenever i can scrounge up enough dough. what kind of tires are you planning to match with whichever wheels youre gonna get?

7th or 8th seems to work for me.
