This upgrade replaces or augments three key cables in the electrical system with 1/0 or 4 gauge wires: the battery ground to chassis wire, the chassis to engine block wire, and the alternator plus to battery plus wire.

In my case I had a dealer (or salesperson rather) that was ignorant. I can't speak for the others though. On my trail it was a $520 option, not one of the customized things the dealer can activate. Mine was a certified pre owned vehicle so I'm sure it wasn't this dealership that installed...

Holy crap, I just found out I have remote start too. Dealer never told me either. I even asked specifically about it. Man that's sweet.

^Acetone has always been the universal solvent in any of the organic organic chemistry classes I have ever taken. Well, that and water but I assume you have tried that. ;)

I have run into surface rust in the past with my 1990 Toyota pick up and my 10 year old Jeep Wrangler. I have had luck hitting the rusty spots with a wire brush, then a couple coats of Rustoleum rusty metal primer, followed by a few coats of a rustoleum black top coat. Good spring project after...

If you are looking at ball joints you should check out light racing Uca's. If you decide want a uniball Icon also makes a tubular UCA. Just some other option to consider.

Lit up

The only car I have had where the 6 speed is lit up is on my M3. I'd expect it out of a car like that, but not so much with the 4runner.

The airbag goes off automatically if there is no one in the seat, or if the person is over 50 lbs. Only of there is someone (or something) on the seat between 1-50 lbs will it be disabled. The thought being that the force of the airbag deploying could actually cause harm to a child or small...
