I disconnected my DRLs and installed Silver Star Ultras right after..... that was 3 years ago and no failures!!

The heat shield on cat #1 is rattling to beat the band. Have any of you just cut the shield off or repair it? The CC is still functioning properly, no CEL, but the rattling has gotten obnoxiously loud.
