I'm on my 3rd timing belt, water pump, ect at 289K. I bought the seals years ago , but never replaced them as they have never leaked !

20 mpg for 14 years !!! Combined average ! V6 4WD Auto .

I forgot that I just splurged and replaced the drivers side seat bottom upholstery with a new oem seat cover. It was like $300 !!!

Jeeper1, The first non-routine item to go was the flex plate. It broke around 220,000 and resulted in me having to replace it and the transmission. I got a used transmission off of Ebay with 77,000 miles for $800. I still don't understand why the flex plate breaking messed the transmission up...

288,000 on my Desert Dune '97 SR5 ...I am the original owner and have done all work on this 4Runner since it went over 36,000 in 1999 ! I'm in the process of doing some maintenance as I intend to get over 400,000 on it ! I love this thing.

I just did the Tundra brake upgrade on my 1997 SR5 with the six spoke 16" wheels. No interference and the operation was a complete bolt up with the exception of grinding the dust shield for caliper clearance ! It has made a noticeable improvement in braking performance !
