Actually a piece junked off on the bottom because I was working on it when it was like 20deg outside..I thought it was still sealing off though because its just the part like where the hose clamp goes...but I have been worried about if thats it or not...my...

could it be a bad connection at the coolant temp sensor? Like maybe the connector just needs cleaned or something?

I'm def no expert...but I wonder if the belt is pushed too far back and rubbing against the cover. Are the bearings good on the idler pulley and the tensioner pulley? Maybe if one of those bearings is seized the belt would be slipping there instead of the pulley turning.

Yes...that was one of the first things I replaced...it actually broke when taking it off...so was sure that was going to be the problem..but it wasn't. I keep wondering if it could be the mass flow air sensor or whatever it's really called. And also wonder if I just need to start taking it all...

I would for sure find the whole third member assembly. When mine went out I just bought a set of gears at first. I tried to rebuild the assy myself and got it close but ended up having someone else rebuild it and apparently when it ran dry it messed up more than the ring and pinion. So ended up...
