I'm def no expert...but I wonder if the belt is pushed too far back and rubbing against the cover. Are the bearings good on the idler pulley and the tensioner pulley? Maybe if one of those bearings is seized the belt would be slipping there instead of the pulley turning.
Yes...that was one of the first things I replaced...it actually broke when taking it off...so was sure that was going to be the problem..but it wasn't. I keep wondering if it could be the mass flow air sensor or whatever it's really called. And also wonder if I just need to start taking it all...
