Absolutely no idea. There wasn't any indication of when to expect them or any kind of tracking number or anything.

Well I got my rack today. Or at least, like, 30% of it. I got a 15lb box containing the side rails, wind fairing, and mounting hardware but no cross bars at all. The box contained a packing slip showing the cross bars that had them checked off, but they damn sure aren't in the box. SSO hasn't...

It should. I use a Tepui Autana on the factory rack. The key is not to attach it to the crossbars. They aren't strong enough and the fact that they aren't flat across presents challenges. Attach it directly to the much stronger side rails and it's totally fine.

Actually most of the discussion just moved to a FB group dedicated to 5th gen 4Runners. The guy that was pimping them the hardest here is in the group and still very active with supporting them and dealing with the manufacturer. He's irritating and a little abrasive, but mostly helpful. I think...

You're always going to get reactions like this when you charge 100% up front. That's the main issue. Charge a deposit with the balance due at shipping and you'll see customers chill out a lot. Like someone else said, these companies have zero incentive to deliver a quality product in a timely...

In this situation I'm fairly certain any of the better cc companies would side with the consumer and issue a chargeback if they refused a 100% refund. Hopefully it doesn't come to that, though. I'd still rather have the rack, but my patience and understanding tank is on fumes.

My understanding from talking to my local dealership is that the update that's out now does not work for the 4Runner, but an update for the 4Runner is coming soon for the 2019 only. They told me this yesterday.

Yeah, I forgot to go to law school so I don't know shit from shoe polish, but taking orders with full payments the weekend before you close your doors and announce no product and no refunds seems wide open for civil litigation at a bare minimum, if not some form of criminal prosecution.
