    What is High Mileage?

Lol no, that post was from almost 10 years ago.

    Need tire advice

Michelin Defender LTX M/S. Extremely smooth and quiet on the highway, does great with moderate offroad and snow, if you ever drive farther north. Phenomenal rain traction. Don't get an AT tire if most of your driving is highway.

Anybody ever swap 3.4 to 2.7? (serious question)

The 2.7 uses a W59, you have a R150F which won't bolt up. If you swapped the engine you would also need to swap the transmission. The 2.7s came with lower axle ratios so you'd probably have to swap those out as well

    The 5VZ-FE rev limiter

It sounds like something is wrong. I have a manual but the rev limiter kicks in at ~5700 rpm and will definitely not let the engine get above that. I discovered this while in 1st gear doing donuts in the snow.

    Help! Car dies after starting!

The fuel pickup pump is located at the back of the tank. When you're about to run out of gas, the truck will sputter and hesitate going downhill and then come back to life on flat/uphill.

Anyone run Michelin LTX in LT/Load E sizes for 3rd gen? How comfortable are they?

I have the Defender LTX M/S in Standard Load, 265/70/16 on my 2000. I'm really happy with the ride, they are WAY quieter and soak up bumps better than the Duratracs I had before. I'm not sure about Load Range E though. I feel like the ride would be rock hard on a vehicle as light as a 3rd gen?

Back to the 4Runner - looking at 3rd Gens with multi-mode

Are your brake lights working? I had this problem when I bought mine, turned out the brake light fuse was burned out, which also prevented the cruise control from engaging

FS: 3rd gen front seat bottom foam (sport seat) - $30 OBO, Boulder, CO

Free, if anyone wants to pick it up. Probably going to throw it away soon.

FS: 3rd gen front seat bottom foam (sport seat) - $30 OBO, Boulder, CO

19 of my own, and probably north of 3,000 farts from the previous owner. My diet consists of anchovies and spicy Mexican food.

FS: 3rd gen front seat bottom foam (sport seat) - $30 OBO, Boulder, CO

Selling the bottom foam from the front seat of my 2000 4Runner because I put in new OEM foam. It's in fair condition; no major rips or missing foam sections, but the side bolsters have gotten pretty soft after 18 years of use. This would definitely fit a sport seat for a '99 or '00, I think it...

    Hazard light mod

Nah, there are 2 separate yellow/red wires. The upper one that goes from the kick panel (wiring harness 1C) to the hazard switch, and the lower one that goes from the kick panel (wiring harness 1J) to the turn signal stalk.

    Hazard light mod

Turn signals work the same. Although I've never encountered a situation where I needed to use the hazards, it could happen someday. When the weather warms up I think I'll add another switch. An SPDT with the center tap connected to port 4, the side taps to both wires, and the blue/white...

    Hazard light mod

I got caught in a heavy blizzard a few weeks ago. The snow was coming down HARD and staying on the unplowed 2-lane road was totally nerve-wracking. There was no issue with traction in 4WD, but visibility was garbage -- even just the low beams produced so much glare in the snow that I felt like I...
