Rear window, defroster, wiper wont' work? Look here!

Have same problem, and tried the above. Didn't work! Already been to the dealer and of course there it all worked fine. Thankfully I have an honest dealer and they didn't charge anything for the diagnostics. Anyone else have any ideas?

So just what is the cause of those infamous frozen calipers anyway?

So far with 65K on my Limited, I have yet to see any issues with the calipers. I live in Wisconsin where the DOT hasn't met a salt crystal that it doesn't like. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I won't have the issue that I have been reading about. I do wash the 4R frequently during the...

    air box

Just drill out the plastic rivets that hold the filter on. Only takes about 4 turns of the bit to take the rivets out, just don't drill all the way through the cover.

Help me decide! 4th Gen or 5th Gen

The V8 for sure. It's a solid truck and as others have stated, the engine is bulletproof. I have a 09 V8 and it is by far the smoothest engine I've ever had in a truck. It also has the higher towing capacity IIRC, perfect for towing a boat.

    What is this?

That is the damper for the glovebox. It is what makes the door open slowly.

Do you have another Toyota in the driveway ...

A new 2011 Sienna XLE AWD sits right next the 4Runner in the garage! Switched to all Toyotas from all Jeeps.

2009 Limited AWD Mileage: 36,100 Engine: V8 Drive train: 4wd Oil/filter used and Intervals changed at maintenance: Oil - 5w40 Filter - whatever the Toyota dealer uses @ 5000 miles

    long road trip with 4Runner

I just did a 2500 round trip from WI to CO and back: 1. Straight as an arrow, no concerns at all, did get pushed around a little with strong wind, but then again what SUV doesn't. 2. About 2.5 hours was the limit before having to get out of and walk around. This is with an 8-way leather driver...

What did you drive before your 4Runner

I drove a 2004 Jeep Rubicon and loved it! But when our second child arrived, it was time to get something more kid and cargo friendly. That's how we got the 4Runner.

Best Jack and Stand for 4runner

I'd have to agree, the included jack works fine for what it is intended for.
