Thanks for the input everyone. Air in the lines was responsible for the lack of heat. I'm pretty sure there is a leak somewhere, but it doesn't ever drip. I can smell it at times (usually when I first start it up when the engine is already warm), but the fluid level doesn't drop very quickly...

I'm sure that you have already thought of this, but have you checked your air filter/intake? A friend of mine had a pickup where mice had built a nest around the air filter after it sat for a while.

Mine grinds going into reverse, but only if the flywheel is spinning forward. I don't think the reverse gear has a synchro. If I wait for a second or two after moving forward, reverse slips in with no problem. If you make a clutch adjustment, also look to see if a support bracket is broken...
