I've been running Yakima cross bars for a little over a year now. They are mounted directly to the factory rails and have worked great. However, after lifting my rig it's too tall for me to get my bikes up there. I'm probably going to have to get rid of them soon and replace them with a hitch rack.

I appreciate the insight. It's my first time lifting a 4Runner and first time dealing with IFS. It's all new territory for me.

I agree. I've pretty much decided I'm going to drop the front down a bit.
