Up close with the 2021 4runner headlights

The two extra unused terminals on the 2021 headlight connector certainly lends credence to this theory. IMO, Pretty weak effort by Toyota if they just left the incandescent DRL and signals, which from the pic posted of the Lunar Pro, appears to be the case.

Up close with the 2021 4runner headlights

The white plug is what connects the vehicle harness to the headlight assembly's internal low beam wiring.

Up close with the 2021 4runner headlights

The white plug is the wiring for the low beam, although it's a different connector than on previous years. To the right, you can see there's no longer a removable dust cap. The led low beam projector appears to be completely sealed within the housing i.e. non-serviceable. Here's a pic of the...

    Replacement for USB relocation

Here's the lower panel with the door open, uninstalled. That's the best I can do since it's not mine. I just linked the pics from the other thread.

    Replacement for USB relocation

I think the cleanest and easiest solution, if you don't mind spending the money, would be to just replace the entire lower panel with the 2014-2019 part# that has the standard size cutout (about $75 iirc) or upgrade to the 2010-2013 lower panel that has the closing door. Part numbers and more...

Pioneer 9" DMH-WT7600NEX Floating Display Installed: First Impressions w/OEM Audio+

Here's a pic of the OEM brackets used in conjunction with the plastic Metra ones. You may need to drill out or grind down some alignment nibs so they sit flush. I decided to use both together because I wanted to keep the ability to reinstall/remove as a single assembly like OEM. I have a...

Pioneer 9" DMH-WT7600NEX Floating Display Installed: First Impressions w/OEM Audio+

Not entirely necessary. My reason was for the ability to install/remove the whole assembly as a single unit, like OEM.

Pioneer 9" DMH-WT7600NEX Floating Display Installed: First Impressions w/OEM Audio+

You can reuse your OEM metal brackets/hardware with the Metra kit. First, you'll have to drill out the alignment nibs so they sit flush with the plastic Metra brackets (you still use these to mount the dash kit to the head unit), but that should leave you with enough holes lined up with the...

    2020 TRP - Audio upgrades

I don't have premium audio, but if I did, I'd start with this and this to get TOSLINK OUT, then send that signal to a quality DSP. I love my Helix, but there are plenty of other options out there. You'll still have to confirm the back of the 2020 head unit has the same connections as previous...

2020 TRD Pro Updates - Army Green & Push Button Start

My money is on FJ Cruiser Brick Red for 2021. (I'm hoping for Sandstorm, but two "sand" color years may be unlikely.)

___CLOSED: 2015+ Accessory Meter Conversion Harness Group Buy____

Sub'd and posting here so hopefully I don't miss out again on the next batch. I've been following the thread in the 5th Gen section for a while, but somehow never saw this one until today. Thanks, Old Red, for all your hard work and putting this together. 2016 TRDP EDIT: Thanks for adding me...

Problem with Crux VIM after Takata fix.

I got curious and looked up the installation instructions, and Step 1 specifically states, "DO NOT disconnect the airbag connector” with no explanation to what will happen if you do. Although I don’t have any direct experience with the Crux interface, I would bet that that is relevant to your...

Confused oem trd off road vs pro wheels spec

The TRD wheel has a different offset that widens the vehicle's overall track by about an inch. Because of this, they most likely chose a narrower wheel to minimize the chances of rubbing. Shortly after the TRDPs release in 2015, Toyota issued a TSB and started shaving their fenders at the port...
