K&N filter recharge
Put roughly 33k miles on it before cleaning and oiling for the first time-I went a little longer than I should have based on the crap I had to clean out of it. Purchased the K&N recharge kit for about $20. Most likely will get a few cleans/oils out of it. Had to spend some...
Installed OME 880/906 lift kt paired with OME Nitrocharger shocks on the corners.
Me and a buddy installed the OME 96024 kit over the weekend. I decided to go with the 880/906 setup which consists of a mild lift, 1.5” in the front and 2” in the rear. I prefer a touch of rake and figured it...
Just installed OME 880/906s along with OME shocks front and rear and the ride is great. Not stiff and handles much better now. Ended up with a lift just north of 2”. I will continue to run 265/75/16s on it. Looking forward to seeing your build progress.
Yea I used the ones on their website. Pretty straightforward. After reading some past forum posts regarding the fit, seems like it will be pretty direct fit. I’ll report otherwise after installation.
Looks good man! Yea I’ve already noticed that they’re starting to settle in place. Probably didn’t help it was below freezing and they’re a little stiff still. Still beats the ratty 17 year old originals lol
Got some goodies piling up in the basement. This weekend I will be installing the new OME 880/906s with OME shocks/struts as well. Looking forward to the new setup. Wondering how the current Toyo Open Country’s 265/75/16s will look with the mild lift. Luckily I’m in the market for new tires...
Replaced the front floor mats with some Weathertechs. Overall they fit pretty well except near the sill there is some separation. Pretty happy with them.
Unfortunately I don’t have any pics of the the pattern but i would say I’m pretty happy with it. Took it out last night for a drive with the wife and she instantly noticed how much more area the pattern covered. To elaborate, the pattern def produced light at a higher level as well crisp lower...
Refreshed the old stock headlights. Besides the old, tired and oxidized lens, one of them had a 1” diameter hole in it. Was a little worried to venture from the stock lens replacement but I’m pretty happy with the finished product.
I just took my 2001 SR5 on a 6 hour trip up north last in November, running about 65mph(mostly cruise control) and about half the trip was flat highway, the other half being in some elevation and more winding roads. Temperature was between 15-30 degrees on this trip and My 4runner got 19.5...
202k, purchased few years ago with 170k. DD. Still runs like the day I bought it. Started riding in a carpool van to keep those miles in check. Old commute was 330 miles a week..new commute to commuter lot, 11 miles a week!
