L-Track Cargo Tie downs Storage Solution

Pics Here are some more pics of the shelf and the C02 holder setup I came up with. It is all extremely stout and the shelf goes in and out in literally one minute! My quarantine project...

L-Track Cargo Tie downs Storage Solution

No cutting of the existing plastic at all and yep, the plastic pieces that cover the holes (the cargo cover holders) can go right back into place no problem. The only thing is that I did drill that hole and put in a bolt to hold the plastic better than the push tab things. By doing that it...

L-Track Cargo Tie downs Storage Solution

The lack of tie downs in the 3rd gen cargo area was a problem for me. I carry a cradle-mount winch, a spare, C02, tools, cooler and on and on. I was sick of it shifting around and plus it's safer to have it all tied down. So, after analyzing this a bit here is what I came up with for under...

    The 3.4L TRD Supercharger Thread

That's another good suggestion. I'll have to check it out. I think my year '99 only has the one.

    The 3.4L TRD Supercharger Thread

Ya and maybe "flashing" isn't the correct term but somehow the ECU has to be correlated to my keys. Again, that's JUST on the LIMITED 3rd gens apparently. It was a new deal in 99. And, you are right, I have heard from many during this that it is indeed a bummer that we can't "flash" fuel maps...

    The 3.4L TRD Supercharger Thread

Just update on this. I checked and the FMU mod is done on mine! PO or installer did it. So that's cool but won't help with this issue since it's already done.

    The 3.4L TRD Supercharger Thread

Oh man I have learned a lot on this. So I have an extra ECU. I bought it at the local yard and it is the EXACT part number for my rig per Vin#. I swapped it and another from the yard, twice both...so I am pretty familiar with the process now as you can imagine. Both of these yard ECU's would...

    The 3.4L TRD Supercharger Thread

I'm looking at it now. Thanks for the tip, I'll check it out. And yes, I heard from others you can run with the SC belt off but ya, not a good test. If I want to eliminate the SC the better option is to put a stock manifold on. We'll see...

    The 3.4L TRD Supercharger Thread

MUCH appreciated feedback. Yep, I think you're right...that it really has to be in the circuit and that goes along with what my mech is finding with zero evidence of any actual knock. So, I'll have to start chasing electric and yes, if worse comes to it then we may just have to crack into it...

    The 3.4L TRD Supercharger Thread

One for the Pros Hi all, thought I'd post here to get some advice from the experts. I have a 99 SC'd at 98k and now has 140k. Fully stock SC saetup...pulley etc., but with 2 step cooler plugs and 1 step cooler thermostat. About 1000 miles ago I started getting knock sensor codes. Before that...

P0330 Knock Sensor and SC - Last Ditch Effort

Ya it pings even now and again as it is but it's not too bad. Golden is not that high but I take it up higher a lot. It has stock pulley on it. I'm leaning toward ECU swap for $150 from junk yard. Way back I was doing some wiring and arc'd the battery on accident. IDK, seems like a long shot...

P0330 Knock Sensor and SC - Last Ditch Effort

Thx Great suggestion on just bypassing the SC and trying that. Good call! As for gas...IDK it's been doing this for about 5 fill up's, close to 1000k both before and after my 2k investment in the new sensors and harness. Also, I'm a Shell guy...91 Shell 90% of the time. That's supposed to be...

Gen 3 The best design ever.......

Idk IDK...love my simple and tough 1st gen but after axle seals, radiator, brakes, and now a knock sensor CEL that persists after $2k worth of service I'm not so sure on my '99 with only 140K! Sorry guys but I'm down on them right now. My 06 LJ 4.0 was more bombproof even if not as nice on the...

P0330 Knock Sensor and SC - Last Ditch Effort

Well fellow shelter-at-homers...I thought I'd throw out a plea for any and all thoughts on my recurring P0330 Knock Sensor code. Especially if you have fought this on a SC'd rig. My rig is a 99 with 140k and an SC that was put on at 98k. I've had it for about 30k miles and zero issues UNTIL...

    WTB - TRD Boost Gauge

Just putting out a message about my interest in a TRD boost gauge for my SC. If you have one to sell please let me know. Thanks, Grant 303-903-7294 text is good or PM.
