Swapped stock rear shocks for Bilstein 5100s. Rear seems to be sitting higher than before. I have 5100s on the front, too, at the 0.85" position. Drove about 2.5 hours today. Noticeably firmer ride, but also much more controlled over bumps on the highway.

Take a look at the Sprint Booster clip - it'll be the same way. I think you are doing it right, just take your time. Mine was pretty tight, too.

We drove a fair amount today and she really likes the SB. She's coming from a 360HP twin turbo BMW X3, so the T4R felt very sluggish. It's much better now. I think we have it set at Race3 right now.

That's a good point, but the major reason for us buying a 4Runner is reliability, resale, and capability. If we eliminate the 1st two factors on that list, I'd buy a Range Rover.

Then there's my dealer: when I go in to buy an oil filter for my 1991 M3, and the parts guy tells me my car is an E36 and gets snippy when I have to tell him twice that it's an E30.

That Jeep will be worth about 40% less than a 4Runner in 10 years.

Agree with the GX idea. Agree with the looks of the GCherokee. On the other hand, I can't imagine comparing a 4Runner to a Jeep. From a longevity and build-quality perspective.

Great pics. I'm through there often, but never wheeled there. I've mountain biked some of the Kokopelli trail. You can ride all the way to Moab if you want. Most do it in 3 to 4 days supported. A female mountain bike racer (Rebecca Roush) did it in 13 hours!
