same problem
2005 4Runner Sport, with the same problem -- loud humming noise up front, sounds like tire noise, but my tires are in great shape. Just had them rotated and balanced, noise still there.
My noise doesn't seem to be on one side only, and doesn't seem to change when I turn R or L...
