For longer trips it was the roof and for the shorter ones I would put it in diagonally with the seats and window down. It would stick out a little. I bet if I put the passenger seat all the way up it would stuff in.

Two years ago I sold my 2004 SR5 4x4 6cyl (OME 3 in lift and Camburg UCA) for $12,500 - which I considered top dollar. I really enjoyed that rig and loved on it from beginning to end. Zero issues and drama free ownership. The new owner got a solid Runner. I hated to see it go but...

I hit a speed table - big azz speed bump and jacked up both CV boots as well as the ball joints on the UCA. It was such a hit I had to include my insurance. It was less to get Camburg UCA than stock pieces. You may want to look into upgrading via insurance. Good luck!

Back in my Runner days I ran the HD OME 3 inchers with the addition of a cut down Daystar coil (on top). Gave me about 4 inches of lift. Oh yea I had air bags as well but they did not provide lift just ultra support for when the KTM was hanging off the back. So yes you can run a lift spring...
