Rear storage door for 5th..my quick and dirty

Great job and photos showing where to cut into the panel. It's nice and clean, and the benefit of having that covered up. I like the T handles too - might have to looking into those.

Rear storage door for 5th..my quick and dirty

nice, I like the magnet idea as you don't have to carve out the slots at the bottom for tabs or the lock on top. For two grabber tabs at the bottom, did you just use your existing abs plastic, cut pieces from that and form it? what did you do for the lower opening?

Rear storage door for 5th..my quick and dirty

Thom - sorry about that, things have been a little hectic lately, but will try to provide some specifics. Sounds like you got the abs plastic, but below is a link of the plastic and lock that I used in mine if needed for others. Amazon.com: ABS Textured Plastic Sheet 1/8 Thick x 12 x 24...

So it looks like the CTHome T9 head unit is out, waiting for reviews.

i got mine through him through the FB group and just sent him a message, and its worth getting from him not only for the discount, but if any issues he will help you out. The FB group has been great too since there is no manual, and easy to do a search to look up and find specifics already...

Pioneer NEX install in ‘12 Limited

great info in this thread. was able to do my first ever install with the help here, other threads and youtube. Had to look at the 1000 wires in the harness, wiring diagram about 50 times, but got it. I got the newer maestro rr2, although not sure what future benefits it would provide me...

Rear storage door for 5th..my quick and dirty

That is left over from my first attempt from several years ago to make a cover for both openings with a twist handle at the bottom. the larger cover would never stay on, but I made both covers at that time with a cardboard cutout covered with fiberglass cloth/epoxy covered with some black...

Rear storage door for 5th..my quick and dirty

83Mule - thanks for posting this and the idea. Not sure why it took me so long to find that you did this mod - it has been driving me crazy not having a cover there like my son's 4th gen 4runner. I took your advice and used ABS plastic (textured).

Barcelona Red 4Runners! Let's see them!

I didn't end up changing out the handles. I used plasti dip and so far holding up well. Just have to make sure to get behind the handle and for that, I manually did that until it was pretty thick.

    Another Bilstein 5100 question

my fronts are about 2.75". Cornfed will make any size rear spacer you want. Just let them know what size you need in .25" increments. I have tried a couple different configurations - I will need to check but I think I used 1.75" for driver side and 1.25" for the passenger rear.

Cali Raised LED Light Bar Bracket behind Grille Review

I ran into the same problem this past weekend - installed the caliraised (same as rago?) brackets in your link, and the front of the top 1/2 of the brackets are too far forward hitting the grill preventing the bumper to go back on the way it should. I ended up using a reciprocating saw with a...

    Post your LIFTED pix here!

No third row - I believe the rear spacers were 1.75" driver side and 1.25" passenger. the wheelers front top spacers gave me a little more than I was expecting and close to an inch in addition to the 1.75" setting on front shocks.

Bilstein 5100's & Cornfed spacers arrived

Yes, both front and rear have Bilstein's, spacers in the rear. The fronts set at 1.75", but I did add a wheelers 3/8" top spacer later in front and now have about 2.75" total lift from stock in the front.
