This is an example of the desired wheeling use. Some might call it crawling but for the normal souther Utah stuff we do its just common occurrence. The line is well established. It may or may not need spotting. You just have to move through it carefully especially if you don't have armor...

My son does not need a crawler, just a solid overlander and daily driver. That said we always say it’s easy wheeling until it’s not. We’ve pretty much decided on shoving some 285s under it and adjust accordingly. The BMC seems inevitable so we’ll just do it. Big tire, no or low lift is...

Driving in sand with rear diff locked?

My advice is to leave the rear locker off unless you need it. The electronic sorcery of the traction control is very good. Let it do its job. If you get stuck you have one last trick in the bag to get unstuck. If you drive around with the locker always engaged and get stuck you're kind of...

I've been over that linked tread. You're the 2nd person who has told me you fit 255s without a BMC. Which does not really line up with the chart posted there. And for the record, this truck will get wheeled but its a daily driver first. I suppose everyone's definition of a trail truck is...

That discussion is being had for the new LC250 and I'm sure 6th gen as they are basically the same. There many who are removing a bracket that protects the body mount to clear 35s, I'd assume that bracket redirects some forces in an accident. Looking at mine it does not appear to have any real...

License Plate LED's Job Becoming a PIA

I've not had that apart yet. Posting some pictures would help to see the exact issue Looking at my son's truck and online it appears everything for those lights are contained in the plastic piece of the tailgate so its should be available from your local dealer. But why isn't the shop that...

New 4Runner owner looking for advice.

It this point it's looking like we should just do a BMC and get it done. Then level it with some Bilstien 5100 struts and mount up some 285s. Tire selection is just way better with 285 than 275. And as I'm sure someone will ask what tire? There are no snow tires available in 275. Where we...

The fact that Subaru’s are very popular with the Lesbian crowd. He likes his Impreza but is tired of the typical high school BS. Plus he wants his own truck so we made him a deal. He has been wheeling with me since he was in diapers. I’m looking forward to him having his own truck. We spent the...

    Roof Load Rating

That’s about the most solid answer posted. Unfortunately the average expo rack eats up 1/3 of that rating. My large Eezi-Awn tent is 220lbs alone. I’ll make a mental note to never put it on the 4Runner.

I recently picked up a 2014 Trail Edition for my teenage son. I’m not new to Toyotas but all my experience is with LandCruisers. We definitely plan to put some sliders on it and upgrade the lighting. Already started that with some HIR high beams and will add LED lows along with probably a set...
