musty smell coming from a/c

Bumping this seven year old thread... Does anyone know where the air intake is for the HVAC system on the 3rd gen? My car's smell coming from the air vents is almost unbearable.

Just picked mine up last week! Does this look like stock height to you guys? It's supposed to be unmodified but it seems to sit higher than other stock ones I've seen.
