Transmission Fluid Here is the fluid from the transmission (on the right) compared to new fluid (on the left). The old fluid is very thin, does not have a very strong burnt smell, and still has a red tint, but is pretty brown compared to new fluid. Any thoughts on the next step?

I have a 1992 4wd auto. When I put it in drive, the engine will rev to about 4-6000 RPM and then abruptly jerk into gear, once in first gear it will do the exact same thing into second, all the way to O/D. Once in gear, everything runs fine, but between gears it misses totally before jerking...
