Need new place to Order Toyota Parts

Try Lithia Toyota. They ship to Hawaii via USPS. I bought upper ball joints, bolts, and misc hoses/gaskets in March with a shipping cost around $16.00. Shipping costs to Hawaii and Alaska are always ridiculous, especially when UPS and FEDEX are the only 2 shipping options.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like harsher ride it is. Now to find the best price with shipping to Hawaii. Fixed / Taco Whip Antenna I don't really care for the power antenna and know that it's a common failure on the 3rd gen 4Runner so I decided to order a replacement from Amazon.com. The...

    2001 SportRunner 4WD Progress Thread

All right gang, looks like I may need some suspension advice. The rear of my 4Runner was bottoming out while hitting speedbumps at moderate speeds. It didn't appear that my rear springs were sagging very much, so I went ahead and ordered stock replacement Bilstein shocks (HD/4600). I did not...

Toyota OEM rebuilt Steering rack from dealership.

I called SERVCO today, they couldn't find me the reman rack. Only a new one for ~$950 (includes inner tie rods). The local auto parts stores are asking $330 for a reman rack.

Thanks for the comments. Tires are 265/70/R16, Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza Plus (eco, low rolling resistant tires). Once they wear away, I'll replace them with something a little more meaty. Thanks, I'll look into that. I uploaded a couple of new photos after cleaning/cutting the paint. I...

    2001 SportRunner 4WD Progress Thread

Aloha, new to the forums. I've been lurking the 3rd gen section for a couple of months now while I was searching for my own 3rd gen 4Runner. I have found many of the DIYs, build threads, and buyer's guide as excellent sources of information. It appears T4R.org has not seen the type of rapid...

    Cheap Front lift Option

What type of lift setup do you have for the rear? If I were you I'd use the $40 towards a set of Bilstein 5100 front shocks. Pair them with you existing front springs for now, then swap the springs in the future.

Toyota OEM rebuilt Steering rack from dealership.

Also interested in the reman OEM rack. Did you purchase yours from SERVCO Toyota in Hawaii? My rack seems to have some play in it. The steering wheel rotates roughly 5-10 degrees (or ~1" of the steering wheel circumference) with movement up to the universal joint and no movement in the tie rods.
