Right, but this is a warning to make sure that you choose a tire whose capability is greater than 1/2 of the GAWR. It says nothing about tire pressure. The stock Dunlops have a maximum load of 2535, The GY S/As have one of 2470.

Thanks for posting this. I can't remember when it started, but many times I've checked my rearview thinking I'm getting bumped from behind.

If you have P rated 265/70/17s then it should be 32. However, if you have LT 265/70/17s then it should be 44 psi.

From a fellow registered Texan: If you haven't had it fixed yet, it really isn't that big of a deal. You just have to pay more during the annual inspection. On my Chevy truck that had overly dark tinted front windows, I had to pay an extra $17 per year.
