10k miles out of a set??? Sounds like u need a dedicated sports car…or is the lack of one to keep u from getting into too much trouble? And I thought us getting 6k less than the full miles was bad.

Wow, that’s hard to imagine. Did u have any water leaking and puddling inside any where or staining onto the headliner? Need to check my rack on my LX.

have u considered a 100 series land cruiser (or in my case, LX470)? I've got both a 2015 4-Runner and 2005 LX and the space in the LX is much larger and more comfortable. the 3rd row can also be utilized if you need to carry their friends or be removed and you have loads of space. downside is...

wow, that is one ugly looking aftermarket key. much prefer my yotamd lx470 key (which are known to break).

this is similar to the design I had in mind if I were to make them myself as well. let us know how they work out.

I would negotiate out the stock steps on my SR5 and probably see what they could do to trade out the stock tires for the Falkens at3w's at the dealership. also, the rear sliding tray is hardly ever used so no need for that myself.

I like that design better than the mickey ears. one thing to make sure of...the top of the bent portion does not come up higher than the bars....say I want to strap a 4x8 on top, I want it to sit flush on the bars, not on the bent part.

I like the use of the extruded aluminum on the stock rails. I had bought some aluminum to custom make "Prinsu" like rails but decided against it for now so this is a terrific alternative. subscribing to keep an eye on this...I may be interested in what you have to offer eitek1 depending on design.
