Making a real leather armrest cover

For the record, I don't want to make it sound like it's like sewing seat covers or that you can't do it. It's just considerably more sophisticated sewing than it looks like it would be. I assumed it was simply sewn flat and wrapped to fit. It's actually fully three dimensional w/sides that have...

Making a real leather armrest cover

As you and I discussed, the pattern is deceptively simple looking. If you're off by just a bit, it's not going to look good. I sew leather daily with industrial machines and have a good supply of leather and after finding the one linked below on eBay, I jumped on it. It's well made, matches...

    3rd gen Jeep"rsq" tag picture

There was a picture of really nice looking 3rd gen (ARB overland type) I saw here somewhere. The license plate said "JPRSQ" (as in Jeep Rescue) or something similar. Anyone remember where that thread w/pics is/was? Thanks! Charles

    '97 SR5 repair/rebuild/upgrade

The core support, fenders, and hood are all aftermarket and were actually pretty good quality. They came e-coated so they only had to be scuffed to be ready for paint. They all came from the same seller on eBay. The bumpers came from another eBay seller and the fit wasn't as good. Here's a link...

    '97 SR5 repair/rebuild/upgrade

I painted the bumpers. The bumpers and license plate surround are all color matched. It's a dark metallic gray. The grill was originally the same, but I saw a pic where someone matched the body color and I decided to do it that way. Charles

OEM or good after-market front bug shield 2000 4runner

I just bought an OE from Camelback about two weeks ago. I think it was about $75-80. Charles

    '97 SR5 repair/rebuild/upgrade

I still have to get an alignment and have the windshield replaced (not accident related) and work on the audio tune, but I drove it to work today for the first time since I wrecked it in June 2017. It's definitely not perfect, but I sure do love this truck! Its been a busy, hot six weeks! Charles

    2WD Low?

That's exactly what got me wondering if there was a mod that would not engage the front hubs. I've used 4lo w/o locking in manual hubs to get 2lo many times. Charles

    2WD Low?

That's probably the best "real" way, but I won't use it frequently enough to work that hard for it. Charles

    2WD Low?

If this is technically"3wd", shouldn't it still prevent the binding that regular 4low will cause on hard surfaces? Thanks! Charles
